Bio: Aamir Khan (pronounced [ˈaːmɪr ˈxaːn]; born Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan on 14 March 1965) is an Indian film actor, producer, director, singer, television talk show host, activist, and philanthropist. Through his career in Hindi films, Khan has established himself as one of the most popular and influential actors of Indian cinema. He is the highest-grossing Indian actor at the global box office, and has received numerous awards and honours, including four National Film Awards and nine Filmfare Awards; he has received the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan from the Government of India, and has appeared on the Time 100 list. He has been described by Forbes as "arguably the world's biggest movie star", and has a significant following across Asia as well as the Indian diaspora.
